People who believe in a naturalistic worldview have no choice but to believe that Darwin’s Theory of Evolution is true. And in spite of the fact that there is no actual science to back it up, they continually look for ways that it could possibly be true. Well, some scientists have recently come up with a new speculation. They call this one the “RNA world” hypothesis.
RNA (ribonucleic acid) is a nucleic acid that is present in all living cells. Its primary role is to carry out the instructions from DNA in order to create proteins. In other words, they are carriers of information created by DNA, not creators of information themselves. It seems that RNA molecules are too simple and unstable to build molecules on their own.
What these scientists are proposing is that perhaps if multiple strands of RNA, acting as a team that are different enough from one another that they do not compete in any respect for the same resources, randomly ended up together carrying just the right information, they could form the building blocks of life. The scientists have actually been able to construct an experiment where cloned lengths of RNA in water droplets suspended in oil were able to replicate, and with that, have deemed the “RNA world” scenario plausible. That said, they are still nowhere near making this process something that could show any viability as a basis for evolution.
Bless their hearts, they do keep trying.
But the question keeps floating to the surface: Why do these scientists keep on trying to prove evolution is true? And the simple answer is that it is a central part of their naturalistic religion.
Naturalism is the belief that the only thing that exists is the natural universe operating by natural laws. Many Christians find it quite difficult to believe that these folks actually believe that. They are convinced that if life crashed in on these Atheists hard enough, they would recognize their need for God and turn to Him.
But for true believers in Naturalism, that is not true. They believe in their naturalistic religion just as firmly as Christians believe in God. In fact, they are convinced that if Christians would merely look objectively at the world, they would drop their “fantasy” beliefs and realize that God simply does not exist.
Beyond that, they believe that their point of view can be backed up by science. And if that is, indeed, true, then certainly life did ultimately emerge out of non-life, and evolutionary theory will surely one day be proven by science.
But did you notice the word “believe” in the previous paragraph? These Atheists “believe” their beliefs can be backed up by science. They believe that, because if God really does not exist, there is no other possibility but that life emerged from non-life. They don’t believe it based on scientific evidence, but on the basis of their religious faith – their beliefs.
There is no actual science to back up naturalistic evolutionary theory. There never has been. But people who believe God does not exist are convinced it has to be true, so they keep looking for new ways to justify their beliefs. But Naturalism simply does not reflect reality – so good luck with that.
