Two survivors are on the run, but will they be able to make it to safety? Is there even a place of safety?
John and Trish were on an overnight camping trip just to enjoy a beautiful state park, but they did the unthinkable – they caught three fish in the lake and cooked them for dinner. And then it happened … the earth rose up to kill them for daring to disrespect nature.
First it sent out a swarm of mosquitos and attacked them mercilessly, followed by a small sink hole that swallowed up their tent. With that, John and Trish took off running to escape the savage earth, and they have been running ever since.
But their plight is not over. Around nearly every turn is some other plague sent by Mother Earth to do them in – a wild animal here, a natural disaster there ….
Who knows whether or not they will ultimately survive. The odds seem to be against them. There is simply no place to hide.
Well, you might think this is a si-fi story, but according to ultra-liberal documentary maker Michael Moore, it is the real deal. He has put the world on notice that the coronavirus pandemic is a “gentle warning” from the planet before it takes its “revenge” on humanity because of man’s activities that are producing climate change.
Moore believes that the worst is yet to come, and that what has happened so far is just a foretaste of a massive coming calamity if humanity doesn’t slow down and change its ways. He said, “You do understand that this planet can remove all of us in the snap of its fingers? I know what you’re thinking, ‘Thank God the planet doesn’t have any fingers.’ But nonetheless, if you think COVID-19 has been a bummer, then trust me, you literally can’t imagine just how awful earth’s revenge against us is going to be for trying to choke it to f— death. We are in a serious, multilevel planetary emergency.”
Of course, Michael Moore has no understanding of the beliefs he advocates. He actually claims to be a Roman Catholic. He was raised in the Catholic church, went to Catholic schools, and even attended seminary for a time as he considered entering the priesthood. But his beliefs are anything but Christian. His first allegiance is to his political ideology – he is a huge advocate for many left-wing political causes such as climate change, abortion, anti-capitalism, radical environmentalism, and many others.
But it is not the political stances he takes that are the biggest problem, though they, too, are serious problems. The biggest problem is that the approach he takes is founded purely upon a naturalistic worldview. In other words, his reasoning is based on atheistic beliefs.
But with his latest rants about the earth getting her revenge on mankind, he has thrown even more nonsense into his arguments. His recent assertions are not out of either Christian Theism or Naturalism. They are expressions of Animism. Obviously he has no understanding whatsoever regarding the internal contradictions that exist within his argumentation. The fact is, Theism (any form), Naturalism, and Animism all represent worldview positions that literally contradict one another. It is impossible for Moore’s beliefs, no matter what he is pontificating upon, to be true.
The existence of the coronavirus is a warning, all right. But it is not a warning from Mother Earth. It is, rather, a reminder that we live in a fallen world, and that the results of the Fall in our lives is separation from God. The thing we need to be most concerned about is not the potential damage that might happen to our physical lives, but the wages of sin that lead to spiritual death.
