Why
Have Groups
We
at MarketFaith Ministries believe that Christians need to interact with each
other in the marketplace. It is this kind of interaction that provides a
foundation for spiritual renewal. Spiritual revival is important in any
context, but that which happens only within a single church or denomination
will typically see a limited impact. What we would like to encourage is a
situation where spiritual awakening can be encouraged in society in general.
MarketFaith
Ministries does not organize or maintain marketplace groups. Every group
that organizes is a function of the Christians who in that group. What we do
want to do is encourage you to get a group started and use it to encourage
other Christians and to reach out to people who are not Christians. As you
contemplate this possibility, MarketFaith Ministries is available to help
you with ideas and resources.
Kinds
of Groups
There
are two basic areas where we want to facilitate groups.

Community
wide groups - Community wide groups are a non-denominational forum
designed simply to be a place where Christians from various churches and
denominations can meet each other, enjoy lunch, fellowship and
encouragement, and hear a testimony from a fellow marketplace Christian.

Workplace
groups - Workplace groups are simply a gathering of Christians who have
a workplace affiliation. These groups are self-starting and sustaining
and are designed to be a forum where Christians can support each other
in their specific working environment.

MarketFaith
Ministries exists to help marketplace Christians. We are available to
provide advice and resources to help you create marketplace groups which
will become a platform for encouragement and witness. If you are interested
in creating a group in your community or in your workplace and would like to
take advantage of our services, please feel free to contact us. This
ministry is provided free of charge to members of the ministry.
