On August 20th, I lost a good friend. Chip Mitchell was, without a doubt, one of the finest Christians I have ever known. Not only did he have a level head, he had compassion for those who were hurting and a drive to do something about it.
Back when I served as a church planter, Chip and his wife, Kim, joined the church planting team. Then, when I started MarketFaith Ministries, Chip became one of the original members of the board and served faithfully until his death.
Honestly, it is hard to imagine that he is no longer with us physically. My heart still hurts as I think of his passing. But there is no doubt about where he is now – celebrating in the presence of our Lord, Jesus Christ. He will be deeply missed here. And of the many people I know who have passed on, he is one person I look forward to reuniting with when my day comes.
